Monday, July 3, 2006 WAGs PACK THEIR BAGS
The WAGs flew home in a sombre mood yesterday as England crashed out of the World Cup on penalties.
Following taunts and jeers from the Portuguese WAGs and, even worse, the English fans, many girls hid their faces as they checked out of Brenners Park and headed to the airport.
Definitely not hiding was Posh, who appeared holding husband David’s arm in a touching show of support at Stansted Airport.
Victoria’s reactions throughout the game on Saturday mirrored those of distraught fans across the world.

WAGs pack up their designer bags
England's footballers' wives packed up their Louis Vuitton luggage and headed for the airport today after the team crashed out of the World Cup. The WAGS - and their many bags - checked out of the 5-star Brenner's Park hotel in the German spa town of Baden-Baden, which has been their home for nearly a month. A team of porters wheeled out their suitcases and their many purchases from Baden-Baden's designer stores which were ferried to the airport by car. At times the England wives' stay resembled an extended shopping spree and their spending power became the stuff of legend among local shopkeepers who will be sorry to see them go. They snapped up Armani, Prada and Gucci gear along with Marni and Diane von Furstenberg dresses, Chloe handbags and pairs of designer shoes. Local bar owners will also be crying into their beer as the WAGs depart after they spent thousands of pounds in their favourite late night haunts. The England players, who have already suffered the nightmare of losing a penalty shoot-out, may now face a further shock when they see the bill for the stay which is expected to run into many tens of thousands of pounds.
